Our Mission

2 Mindful Girls is a yoga studio designed just for children! We are not only located in the heart of Worcester, MA, but also travel throughout Massachusetts and beyond! We create fun and inspiring yoga and art classes for children, as well as social emotional learning children’s books and resources. We offer classes, professional workshops, birthday parties, private classes, and yoga camps! We continue to promote mindfulness, healthy living, and social emotional learning skills through our services and products.

Lisa

Ava

  • Lisa is a certified Pre-K-2nd grade teacher. Lisa currently works in a public school teaching Social Emotional Learning, Mindfulness and Yoga as a special. Lisa completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Hot Power Yoga in Worcester. Lisa also completed her 200-Hour Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher Training through Breathe For Change.  Lisa is certified through Kidding Around Yoga, Mindful Schools Educator Program, and the MindBe Curriculum for Preschool.  Lisa teaches weekly kids classes at the studio, adult classes at local dance studios, and offers professional development to educators.

  • Ava is a Special Education Teacher, She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary/ Special Education & Psychology and a Masters in Social Emotional Learning. Ava is 95-Hour children’s yoga certified through Flow & Grow, and has completed a 200-hour training through Breathe for Change. Ava has published three children’s books focused on social and emotional learning (Renee Finds Her Calm, Renee Finds Her Inner Strength & Breathe, Stretch, Explore). Ava teaches many of our mobile classes in the Boston area.

Nurturing Minds:

We wholeheartedly believe that yoga can help children make the mind-body connection and begin their journey of self-care.  We want to help children believe in themselves, understand positive self-talk, and know that happiness is an inside job.

Mindful Movement:

Mindful movement is a playful yet intentional way to help children connect their minds and bodies through movement. It involves guiding children to explore yoga poses and activities with awareness of their breath, balance, and sensations. Mindful movement encourages curiosity, creativity, and a non-competitive spirit, allowing children to tune into how their bodies feel while moving through different shapes and motions. Our hope is for students to connect breathing and movement as a way to calm themselves when big emotions take over.

Inspiring Creativity:

Our classes are a combination of yoga and art to boost creativity.  Yoga focuses on the  body while art engages the mind creating a wonderful balance between physical and mental activities.  Our mindfulness projects inspire students to express their thoughts and feelings creatively with no judgment.
